3. Disassemble any items like tables, chairs, beds, lamps, washers, dryers, & electrical components before the crew arrives.

4. Know exactly where you want all your furniture to go in your new home. NEVER MOVE AN ITEM TWICE!

Moving Tips

1. Search for certified used boxes to save money or use Recycled NEW BOXES to protect your valuables.
2. Remember: the heavier the item, the smaller the box.
3. Stack dishes vertical when packing.
4. Never use printed newsprint to wrap fine china, it can damage the delicate finish
5. Label all boxes on top and side, this makes it easier for us when we delivery them to your new home.
6. Pack important and sentimental documents separately to be easily accessible including: health records, passports, family records, insurance information and photo albums. We recommend to move these items personally.
7. Talk to your children about the move and try to make it a fun and exciting time for them. Kids sometimes have a hard time dealing with the change of the move itself.
8. For large appliances be sure to check your owner’s manuals to see if there are special instructions for moving.
9. As you take apart furniture and other items make sure to tape all parts to the main base.
10. Use only small boxes for books. They get extremely heavy, fast. Trust us we haul books around all day for classes!
11. Rent our wardrobe boxes on your moving day to save time and money!
12. Clothes in drawers can be placed in suitcases.
13. Always remove ALL items from dresser drawers, desk drawers, or other furniture with drawers
14. Pack all electronic equipment, like stereos in their original boxes. Otherwise make a custom box for these items.
15. By law, we can’t transport hazardous materials such as gasoline, bottled gases and other flammables, ammunition and explosives.
16. Avoid mixing items from different rooms in the same box.
17. Pack a box of essential items that you will need immediately after the move and make sure it’s the last thing added to the truck.
18. Always tape boxes. Don’t interlock the tops.
19. Make your reservations for movers two to four weeks before your moving day.
20. Clean out closets, the attic, and the basement as soon as you decide it’s time to move.
21. Two weeks before the move don’t forget to arrange to transfer school records.
22. Make a “don't pack box” of things for the last cleanup before you move out – broom, cleaning supplies, dust pan, mop.
23. Remember to get snacks for move day.
24. Schedule disconnect times for about a week before your move day  -- such as cable, phone, internet, and  insurance.
25. Schedule pest control fro your move out and move in locations.
26. Mail in your change of address forms about week before your move date.
27. Clean your stove before you move out.
28. The day before your move, defrost the fridge.
29. Make sure to get enough cash to get you through move day. There always expenses that pop up be prepared.
30. Don’t use boxes without tops. No tops make it impossible to stack properly in the truck.
